Circle Line Project 23 Tokyo

The CIRCLE LINE PROJECT is a project I have been working on for 8 years. Circle lines all over the world are used by thousands of passengers every day. They are an essential part of the life of cities. This sound imprint of a city is fascinating.
In the Circle Line Project, I make them visible.
So far, we have developed the project for the cities of Berlin, London, Moscow and Vienna.

Now we are travelling virtually to Tokyo.
In spring 2023, I recorded the sounds of the Yamanote Line. These field recordings will serve as the basis for the concert evening. With my colleagues, we will develop 30 short stories that musically relate to the city. In the concert, we will then travel around Tokyo virtually, listening to and »seeing« the sound of the city districts, the travellers, the recognition melodies of the various stations, the Yamanote Line itself.
