The 25th anniversary of Ultraschall Berlin will encourage you to look both backwards and forwards. The world of contemporary music has changed noticeably since 1999. New and recent works, including many premieres, stand alongside exemplary pieces from almost 80 years of post-war avant-garde music in the programme of this year’s Ultraschall, allowing a fresh perspective on continuities, recent developments, and possible futures.
