JJJJJerome Ellis

JJJJJerome Ellis describes himself as a »blk disabled animal, stutterer, and artist.« Through music, literature, performance and video, he explores the relationships between Blackness, impaired speech, divinity, nature, sound and time. His work includes contemplative soundscapes using saxophone, flute, dulcimer, electronics and vocals, as well as scores for plays and podcasts. Additionally, he combines spoken words with ambient and jazz textures in his albums, explores theatrical elements with live music and storytelling, and creates music-video-poems aimed at transforming historical archives.
