ausland – Territory for arts and collateral damage
ausland is an independent venue with multi-discipline programme in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.
Since its opening in 2002, ausland is run by a partly constant, partly changing collective of artists and enthusiasts.
ausland hosts in average 10 public events a month: concerts, readings, performances, film screenings, radio shows, lectures, visual and interdisciplinary art presentations as well as workshops. Parts of the programme are structured in ongoing series, such as biegungen, place rhythm. pulse, [auslands-filme] and Lyrik im ausland.
Beyond public events, ausland is also a place for artistic production: Every year, a number of artist residencies are hosted, and musicians and performers regularly use ausland as a rehearsal space or studio for recordings.
