The gallery focuses on the presentation of 20th century artists from East and West Berlin and 21st art from Berlin and elsewhere. In contrasting and juxtaposing them, current and historic aesthetic positions become discernible.

The gallery also hosts concerts (Soundscapes Series) in the genre of real-time music, in collaboration with the Finnish musician Harri Sjöström.
