Radio of the Month 2026

Radio of the Month is back – and you can be part of it! As in previous years, Nico Daleman gets us in the mood for the Month of Contemporary Music with live artist talks from Cashmere Radio. On three Saturdays, Daleman will listen to music with his guests and talk to them about their work. This time, the radio shows are open to the public. Come by and spend the afternoon with us!

Whether broadcasting live from Wedding or through the many shows hosted by its residents, the online community station Cashmere Radio is as diverse as the city’s independent music scene. This makes it more than just a radio station: it is a hub and meeting point for the city’s various music scenes.

Since late 2019, Nico Daleman has hosted his monthly show »The Rest Is Music« on Cashmere Radio. Its focus is on music of the 20th and 21st centuries, which the musicologist and sound artist sets alongside the latest developments in Berlin’s contemporary and electronic music scenes.

Since 2021, Daleman has accompanied the Month of Contemporary Music with special editions of his show. He invites festival participants to give listeners and audiences a glimpse behind the scenes and introduce the concert programmes. The radio can be heard 24 hours a day, seven days a week on cashmereradio.com, and on Fridays and Saturdays on DAB+ (7D Berlin / 12D Brandenburg) via the 24/3 Radio Netzwerk.

The first episode of the Radio of the Month introduces the Disquiet concert and workshop series. Guests include musician Hardi Kurda, who will perform at Disquiet on October 3 alongside Karen Chalco and Nour Sokhon, as well as Marina Cyrino, who helps organize the series as part of Time Emotion Studies e.V.
