UA Berlin IX. Die 1990er: Berlin is back is bass is drum

Das Zafraan Ensemble führt seine UA Berlin Reihe fort.

Actually, it is impossible to talk about New Music in Berlin in the 1990s without at least mentioning what made this city the centre of the musical world: the club culture. Now, by its very nature, the acoustic sound world has little or nothing to do with the electronic dance world. Attempts to combine the two have never been crowned with what could perhaps be described as 'credibility'. So we we break down the bass and drum elements to their individual positions, starting with Rihm and his bass-heavy instrumentation, passing via his student Rebecca Saunders and via Joseph Schwantner.

In seinem 9. Konzert der UA Berlin Reihe präsentiert das Zafraan Ensemble das Herz der 90er in Berlin: die Clubkultur und zeigt, wie sich die KomponistInnen dieser Zeit davon inspiriert haben. 2 Konzerte mit dem gleichen Programm : 19h und 21h !
