Performance, Kammerkonzert Beethoven

The pieces for instrumental duos by the Greek composer Faidra Chafta Douka are sculptural constellations in time and space, unfolding in the calm atmosphere of the exhibition hall.
One original Beethoven is a must be! This chamber music concert is dedicated to works Ludwig van Beethoven composed for cello and piano. A special feature of the concert is the interpretation of the works using the fortepiano, which has a special piano action and timbre that provides insights into historical performance practice. Beethoven's youthful and fresh Variations cycle is compared to the late sonatas here, a brooding work rich in sound tones of unique formal conception. The new instrumental works set counter-accents to Beethoven's music.
