On Forests, Planets and Distant Stars

An evening of electroacoustic music by composer Omer Eilam

The evening will feature 3 pieces composed during the last years. Beginning with an electronic music arrangement of ARIES by Karlheinz Stockhausen where the melody follows the geometry of the constellation, we will gradually get closer to home. In the Solar System Meditation we are invited to explore the polyphonic rotation of the planets around the sun. Zeroing in on the here and now, A Day at Hambacher Forst is a musical-storytelling journey which recollects 24 hours spent with a group of activists who were occupying the forest and trying to save it from destruction for the sake of coal mining.
