9 international artists invite you on a journey through audio, immersive video, photography, performance, painting and sculpture, exploring the occupation of Hambacher Forst, the female cycle up close, and taking the GIF back to its source.
Our inspiration is Urizen, a mythological figure created by William Blake. The personification of conventional reason, he charges around the world with his architectural tools, inflicting order and constraining people in tight nets of law and social convention. But really - is this what we need right now, or ever?
So let us tame Urizen.
Not with rule books and lashings
but with strokes, suggestions, & surprises.
Vernissage Thursday 15th Dec, 18:30 followed by live performances by Omer Eilam, Alexandra Goncharuk, Luiz Lopes and Fionnuala Kavanagh.
MOOS Space, Moosdorfstraße 7-9, 12435 Berlin

A Day at Hambacher Forst is a musical-storytelling journey which recollects my experiences with a group of activists who were occupying the Hambach Forest and trying to save it from destruction for the sake of coal mining.
