Klangkunst / Sound Art / Longplay (Austellungen, Installationen, überlange Konzertformate)

Klanginstallation "Nessun Dorma" / Elsa-Sophie Jach, Thea Hoffmann-Axthelm u.a.

KONTAKTE '22 – Festival für Elektroakustische Musik und Klangkunst

On the question of how humans will coexist with artificial intelligence (AI) and robots in the future, the theatre provides a field of experimentation on which emotions, longings and fears can literally be acted out. At "Nessun Dorma", the opera genre enters new territory: By day, the industrial robot ARKA paints works of art at the Akademie der Künste to death arias from an old cassette. ARKA then meets the cleaning robot PUTZINI who works there. The two love and suffer, as befits the dramatic opera story, discussing questions of imitation and authenticity in art and questions of love and betrayal.
Conceived and realised by director Elsa-Sophie Jach, set designer Thea Hoffmann-Axthelm, creative technologist Markus Schubert and creative engineer Sebastian Arnd. With the support of physicist / problem-solver Robert Bücker and music by Antoine Daurat and Roberto Fausti.
