In the Sonic Borderlines series, the Berlin School of Sound at Kunsthaus Acud brings together musicians from the most diverse backgrounds. Renaissance and Baroque music and traditional music from Persia, the Caucasus and Anatolia, classical music from India, protest sounds from all over the world - the search for a decolonised historical performance practice is always at stake. Among others, the Kammerensemble Neue Musik, the Ensemble Extrakte and the London musician Peter Wiegold have been invited. The six-part series starts on 6 September with classical Arabic music and sounds from the European Middle Ages and Renaissance.
