19:30 - 20:30: DJ Maque
20:30 - 22:00: Queer Mass Performance
Queer Mass is a four-part living room service to which all are invited and where everyone leaves with a glitter in their heart. The premise of Queer Mass is to create an inclusive and queer experience that uses a church mass and the Last Supper as a backdrop and a nod to Judy Chicago's seminal 1970 feminist artwork "The Dinner Party." It gives women, transwomen, and non-binary voices a place at the physical and metaphorical table where there was none before. There are and have been countless narratives that have been excluded from the past, narratives that would have mattered greatly to our future. Are you ready for church? The performers, drawn from Berlin's queer BiPOC scene, will use music, poetry, imagery, and storytelling to shift the gaze away from the white, cis-centric perspective and focus on FLINT voices from intersectional and marginalized communities that have long been forgotten in mainstream histories. This performance was originally developed and performed at the 2021 Pop Kultur Festival for Night School by three queer BIPOC artists, Breezy, Allia Sadeghipour, and Arielle Cottingham. Today, with the musical embrace of Elsa M'bala creating a new soundtrack, and performers Sanni Est, Sammie Cooke, and DJ Maque, Allia Sadeghipour and Arielle Cottingham each bring their own spiritual elements to create not just a performance, but a religious experience.

DJ Maque Pereyra is a Berlin based artist, performer, dancer and spiritual activist. She holds degrees in psychology and in Solo/Dance/Authorship. She was granted a DAAD performing arts scholarship and received the arts award Premio Plurinacional Eduardo Abaroa twice. Her works were shown in festivals and venues internationally. She is currently invested in spreading the movement practice of Yoggaton which aims to work at a physical, spiritual, mental and emotional level on the awareness of spiritual colonization, sexual agency and systemic oppression.
