Opening of the Month of Contemporary Music 2024

The Month of Contemporary Music 2024 will open on August 31 at the Kühlhaus with the Festival »Intersecting Encounters«, which is dedicated to the intersections of composition, collective creation and improvisation. The trio Dell-Lillinger-Westergaard, the vocal artist Sofia Jernberg, the Sonar Quartet, the pianist Tamara Stefanovich, the trio Catch and members of the Zafraan Ensemble will come together for this event.

You can hear new co-compositions and existing works by the likes of Alban Berg, Christophe Bertrand, Unsuk Chin, Christopher Dell, Mirela Ivičević, Sofia Jernberg, Christian Lillinger, Samir Odeh-Tamimi, Arnold Schönberg, Sonar Quartet, Tamara Stefanovich, Anton Webern and Jonas Westergaard and others.

The participants will give an insight into their collaboration in two short discussion rounds. In between and after the concerts, there will be time for dialogue, snacks and drinks.
