MAM presents: YOU ARE HERE

YOU ARE HERE is back with a new edition for “another Sunday afternoon,” the conclusion of this year's Berlin Art Week at the FAHRBEREITSCHAFT site in Lichtenberg.
The extensive program of the day, featuring exhibitions by conceptual artist Christopher Williams, performances, and a reading by actress Caroline Peters, is complemented by a pop-up radio program by composer and radio producer Hannes Seidl: YOU ARE HERE is a temporary radio station broadcasting from and into the FAHRBEREITSCHAFT. Equipped with FM radios, the audience strolls across the grounds. They can listen to conversations with artists, short features about the current exhibition, and live music. The radio producers can be observed through the studio windows, or you can tune in to the station while wandering around the grounds and listen to what is happening elsewhere.

At the same time, YOU ARE HERE is an invitation to take stock of where we are: Where are we right now? A deliberately ambiguous question. Where do we stand socially? Artistically? With our thoughts? How can we find each other (again) musically? What do we want to play? What sounds do we need? Should we be political? Dreamy? Or rather abstract? And who is “we”?
