Electrobodies: Launch – FLINTA* Voices, Sound & Technology is an interdisciplinary event taking place on 10 October 2026 at Galiläakirche in Berlin. Curated by Katharina Bévand and Bojana (S) Knežević, the event brings together FLINTA* artists, musicians, researchers, and community members to explore the intersections of sound, technology, and feminist practice.
Participating artists: Darsha Hewitt, Fara Peluso, Caroline Cecilia Tallone, Zorka Wollny, Katharina Koch (alpha nova & galerie futura), VÍZ, Verónica Mota Galindo aka We Cyborgs
Through concerts, a DIY-Workshop, project presentations, and a panel discussion, Electrobodies creates a space for listening, exchange, and collective learning. The program highlights diverse artistic and critical approaches to sound and technology while fostering dialogue between creative, activist, and community-based practices.
Electrobodies is designed as a starting point for future collaborations. The event aims to strengthen connections among FLINTA* artists, raise the visibility of underrepresented voices in electronic music and sound art, and encourage new forms of local and international collaborations.
We invite you to a day filled with performances, discussions, and shared knowledge and experiences—opening up new possibilities for sound, technology, and feminist models for the future.
1:00–3:00 PM — DIY Workshop: LISTENING TO BROKEN MUSIC
Darsha Hewitt is an artist working with DIY electronics, sound and media archaeology; with a feminist hacker ethos, she uses participatory workshops to explore the material politics of music and technology. In this workshop, participants build lo-fi sound resonators from balloons, tin cans and glue, then use them to acoustically read vinyl records and explore the physical journey of recorded sound from groove to air. No previous experience needed.
6:00–7:45 PM — Presentations & Talks
Fara Peluso is a bioartist, biodesigner and researcher exploring living organisms such as microalgae, fungi, lichen and earthworms through speculative and material-based practices.
Caroline Cecilia Tallone is a Berlin-based musician and violin maker working with experimental, electroacoustic and improvised music, including her prepared electroacoustic hurdy-gurdy.
Zorka Wollny is a Polish interdisciplinary artist, composer and director whose site-specific work connects sound, performance, architecture, collective memory, voice and social participation.
Katharina Koch is Artistic Director of alpha nova & galerie futura, combining curatorial practice and research around feminism, intersectionality, contemporary art and activism.
Concerts
8:00 PM — VÍZ (Réka Csiszér) explores Eastern European melancholy through post-industrial textures, Hungarian folk, haunting vocals and audiovisual noir, creating an eerie and ritualistic live experience.
