Wed, 26.02.2025, 14:00 - 16:00
This webinar provides a quick overview of the Artists' Social Insurance (Künstlersozialversicherung) and the Artists' Social Contribution (Künstlersozialabgabe).
What exactly does the KSK do? What benefits does it provide? How can I join the KSK? What requirements must I meet? The webinar will guide participants through various topics, including explanations of the registration process, the basis for calculating contributions and benefits, entitlement to sick pay, and the impact of additional income or side jobs.
The webinar will be led by Fred Janssen (Artists' Social Insurance Fund), who will explain the most important basics and offer space for participants' specific questions.
Through the Artists' Social Insurance, the government supports artists and journalists who work independently as their primary profession, as this professional group is often significantly less well insured than other self-employed individuals. This is not only a social policy achievement but also a cultural policy milestone. With this initiative, the creative work of artists and journalists is recognized as vital to society.
The workshop will be held in German.
