Das Rosa Rauschen Trio

Rosa Rauschen has existed in changing line-ups since around 1992. The current trio line-up with Achim Kaufmann on piano and Moritz Baumgärtner on drums has been around for about six years, and makes the previous production ‘10 Miniatures’ (released by Units Records) sound light and airy. The relatively compact compositions serve as a springboard for collectively transparent improvisation.

Great emphasis is placed on sound and interplay rather than individual solo performances. The previous productions were characterised by a density of sound and rhythmic drive, which was noticeable in both the compositions and the solos.
