Audiovisionen: Victoria Keddie, Nour Sokhon

Victoria Keddie (US) and Nour Sokhon (Beirut/ Berlin) bring together two distinct approaches to sound and communication. Keddie works beyond structured language, exploring how error, interference, and transmission artifacts destabilize meaning. Sokhon draws from artistic research — interviews, field recordings, and site-specific interventions — translating
documentary processes into sound and music composition. Together, their practices trace the boundaries between communication, place, and signal.

Working with fragments of memory drawn from her personal archive of interviews, Nour traces the slow deterioration of words into sound. Through
live looping of voice and objects, she opens portals where memory travels, translated through bodily gestures where the machinic meets the intimate,
and disorder folds into form. For this collaboration, Keddie incorporates a neural machine and analog synthesizer as extensions of the artist’s vocal
language. Together, the machines work to process ruptured moments, dissolving them into a dense, abstract spatial field. Voice becomes a fragile, powerful acoustic force, unfolding, fragmenting, and collapsing in real time.
