Christina Vantzou, Jan Matthé, Christophe Piette, Lieven Martens – Serrisme (Edições CN, CD+book/digital)

The Belgian town of Hoeilaart has barely more than 11,500 inhabitants and a nickname: It is called the »glass village.« In the past, there were more greenhouses than there are people living there today. From 1865 onwards, table grapes were grown there en masse. The record label Edições CN, run by Lieven Martens, is now dedicating a multimedia project to this tradition, bringing together a text by Jan Matthé and analogue photographs by Christophe Piette with music by the composer Christina Vantzou and the label founder himself. Rather than examining an agrarian curiosity, this bundle of perspectives asks about aesthetic possibilities of world-building.
